Fully Formulated Organic Fish Fertilizer

AGGRAND'S unique formulation of fish solubles, marine kelp, and microbial activator finally brings a user friendly organic product to the customer. While there has always been fish and kelp available to the consumer, they have developed a premixed formula and incorporated a microbial activator in the mix to make it a one of a kind multi-use fertilizer for virtually any plant or crop situation.

Fish Solubles

The fish portion of the formulation gives AGGRAND the macronutrient number of N, P, & K most people are aware of. Because these nutrients are derived from an organic source there is no risk of salt injury associated with commercial fertilizers. Organic nutrients are also much more stable in the soil, relying on microbial activity to break down complex molecules and convert the nutrients into a plant available form. This activity is greatest when the plants are growing the fastest thus creating a system where nutrient demand is met at exactly the right time and in just the right amount.

AGGRAND utilizes only the highest quality fish solubles available, derived from the menhaden fish harvested in coastal waters. This ensures they have no harmful heavy metals in the solubles such as those which are found in inland fish taken out of contaminated waters. Fish solubles are the portion of the fish left after the meat and bones have been removed leaving the liquid portion. Then the oil is separated out leaving only the highest quality soluble nutrients available. Some fish emulsions on the market have treated the solids with enough acid to hydrolyze the fish into a liquid state which is not an acceptable organic practice.

Marine Kelp Extract

Just as any plant requires N, P, & K to grow, so does it need the essential micronutrients Fe, B, Mn, Zn, Mo, Cu & C1. Kelp is a very efficient supplier of organic micronutrients. Living in an environment which has a high concentration of all micronutrients (salt water), tends to accumulate the ions in the plant tissue. Because they are held in an organic molecule they are readily available for the plant to use. This is referred to as natural chelation. Some sources of nutrients can have the element present but be in a form unavailable for plant uptake.

A second aspect of kelp extract is the presence of plant hormones. Hormones in plants, as in humans, are responsible for implementing a specific response in the organism. Cytokinen which is present in high concentrations in kelp is responsible for inducing root growth, cell development and cell elongation, all of which promote stress tolerance. We utilized kelp which is harvested off the coast of Maine and tends to accumulate even higher concentrations of Cytokinen to overcome the stressful conditions under which it is grown. In the winter as the tide recedes the kelp may find itself exposed to subfreezing temperatures before the tide comes back in again. To withstand this stress, the plant produces an excess of cytokinen. After extraction from the plant, the fluid is concentrated to further enhance the performance of the kelp. The benefits of kelp are seen when foliarly applied early on in a plants growth to encourage root development. Then again at flowering to encourage fruit set and decrease stress in the plant. Foliar applied kelp has also shown fungicidal activity to the plant.

Microbial Activator

The secret to a healthy soil is an active microbial population. This is what gives the soil its ability to recycle organic matter and return nutrients which had once been plant or animal tissue to useable plant nutrients once again. As man begins to interfere with that cycle by removing lawn clippings and adding pesticides, microbe populations begin to decline. Our microbial component serves to stimulate the beneficial soil bacteria, actinomycetes, fungi, algae and protozoa, which are present.

Soil Microbe Functions

Bacteria: Decompose plant and animal residues

Actinomycetes: Compost organic matter

Fungi: Function best in aerated soil to decompose plant material

Algae: Convert C02 & N2 into organic matter in soil

Protozoa: Utilize organic matter as food source releasing nutrients

Soil microbes are as important to the nutrient cycle in the soil as plants are to our food chain. The addition of a microbial activator ensures a healthy soil microbe population and a rapid return of organic nutrients to the available nutrient bank in the soil.

By using AGGRAND Natural Organic Fertilizer, you have an easy to use, complete nutrient source which ensures healthy plants and healthy soil. We encourage soil testing to ensure pH is in line and to be made aware of any deficiencies in the soil which may need correcting.

What's in AGGRAND Fish Fertilizer?

  • Atlantic Hydrolized Fish Fertilizer
  • North Atlantic Kelp Extract
  • Natural Sulfate of Potash
  • Humic Acid
  • Molasses
  • Natural Proprietary Synergistic Compounds

AGGRAND liquid natural organic fertilizer is the most highly formulated organic fertilizer available. AGGRAND simply works. Liquid kelp extract (seaweed) by itself is a tremendous fertilizer as indicated by these kelp extract effectiveness reports on the Mr. Tomato website. Fish fertilizer is generally shown to increase yield and health in many plants as indicated by this fish fertilizer study found in the "Canadian Journal of Plant Pathology".

BUT, the combination of the two along with the proprietary mix of additional organic materials in AGGRAND Organic fertilizer, make it a simply spectacular fertilizer. You've simply GOT to try this stuff!
