Arpanet PerlShop - Free perl script shopping cart program. An excellent resource, but difficult to configure with little support.

Awesome FREECART - Awesome FREECART is a totally free shoppingcart-system which is easy to use and set up. FREECART does not require cookies but instead uses you IP address in a temporary shoppingcart which expires after a time that you set. New features in version 1.1 includes submitimages, background & logotypes, creditcart support, more flexibility and more.

Bravenet Web Services - All Free: mail forms, guestbooks, counters, search engine for your site, greeting cards, webforums.

CGI City - Excellent categorized directory of some very useful CGI scripts. Some scripts must be purchased, but there are some very good free scripts available.

JavaScript World - A good sized directory of useful downloadable javascripts. Descriptions, demos and listings of browser compatibility.

Matt's Script Archive - Many very useful cgi scripts: WebBoards, Form-mail, credit card verifiers, Guestbooks, Site Searchers, etc.

MiniVend - MiniVend is a full-featured electronic catalog system (commonly known as a shopping cart) with online ordering capability. It is designed to provide an interface complete with automated entry of orders into your database. Features include search capability, control of appearance, flexible ordering process, and automated installation and configuration. (Not as easy as they make it sound, but pretty thorough.

Prime-Web - Awesome free cgi for running bulletin boards on your website. Much more advanced than most you will find.

Selena Sol's Database Shopping Cart - Your basic flatfile database-based shopping cart application which allows clients to check out a unique shopping cart, browse through the electronic warehouse adding and deleting items to and from the cart, and go to a check out stand to buy them. Pages are generated dynamically from a database file so there is no HTML to maintain (except for order form and category listings). New features include the ability to run multiple separate stores from the same script and integrated database management routines.

Selena Sol's HTML Shopping Cart - HTML pages are "tagged" with script specific information so no database is necessary. I still think that a database system is better in the long term for a business, but this is much more user friendly to maintain than, say, the Database version and for those who are not comfortable with script modifications, it is easier to customize as far as graphics and presentation because it is done with HTML rather than CGI.

WebGroove - CGI based script which attempts to make creating more dynamic sites easier. With it you can build database-driven Web applications like online stores, directories, document libraries, online auctions or whatever your creative mind can dream up. This is all accomplished by embedding tags and mini-scripts right within your web pages. WebGroove is the only solution that pre-compiles most files into standard HTML to reduce load time while still providing a powerful and completely interactive server-side scripting language that's extensible and consistent with HTML syntax.

Xavatoria Search - Very advanced CGI based script which searches your website. Very fast. Indexes title, keywords & description tags as well as text of each page. Lists results in order of relevancy to search phrase. Allows you to place more weight on certain pages and on certain tags. There is a working script on our commercial webpage here: Search Page. Just search for synthetic oils or gear lubes or something.

WebSite Search Engine - CGI based script which uses keyword and boolean search of your site.
